Astrid Grabowski during an equine osteopathic assessment

About

Caring for animals is in my nature.

I’m Astrid Grabowski: animal osteopath, rider and, above all, someone who has spent her entire life around animals.

I grew up with cats, dogs and horses. Living closely with animals for many years taught me to observe their posture, behaviour and subtle changes with care.

As an animal osteopath for horses and dogs, I combine specialist training with a lifetime of experience around animals. Calm observation, careful palpation and attention to what each animal communicates are central to the way I work.

My background in dressage and especially western riding, including reining, has shaped my eye for movement. As a rider, former competition rider and instructor, I understand how much every detail of posture, balance and movement quality can matter.

The beginning

Why Pulse & Motion?

In equestrian sport I regularly worked with osteopaths. Their work first seemed almost mysterious, but I saw the difference a thoughtful treatment could make. When I had the opportunity to study again, I chose the subject that had fascinated me for years.

Pulse represents my heart for animals and the drive I bring to my work. Motion refers to movement — essential to comfort, performance and wellbeing. Pulse & Motion brings together exactly what I stand for.

My values

Care, calm and trust.

01

Care

I treat every animal as I would treat my own.

02

Calm

The animal’s pace and boundaries help guide my work.

03

Trust

I explain clearly what I feel, do and recommend.

04

Collaboration

Good care is built through coordination with veterinarians, physiotherapists, trainers, farriers and other professionals involved.

“Osteopathy is more than a job to me. It is a calling: listening to the body and helping it help itself.”
